After the fall of the Dominion, the Gamma Fleet was sent on a surveillance Mission to the Gamma Quadrant carrying Starfleet Station Crew and Civilian members of many different races to settle on the abandoned station, making it the first Starfleet Outpost in the Gamma Quadrant.      DS2001 was born!
DS2001 was upgraded to Starfleet standards, then the Fleet left to proceed on with their mission. Due to Starfleet regulations, First Contact with the Planet inhabitants were avoided. Little did they know of the Wonders and Horrors awaiting for them to be discoverd.
